What this is not

A consensus rule with a published height. Not a repair of the curve, and not the rule Bitcoin uses today.

• Not current Bitcoin

  A valid ECDSA signature still spends today. This rule turns that off at H0. Until miners run it, a recovered key still works against any public key already on chain.

• Not taproot

  A bc1p output contains a tweaked public key as soon as you receive. This rule does not send coins there.

• Not a fixed curve

  Key recovery can still succeed. After H0 the signature it produces is not mined.

• Not a rush

  H0 is announced. A stampede costs more than the wait.
